A place for everything NVIDIA, come talk about news, rumours, GPUs, the industry, show-off your build and more. While the same cards I was shorted magically appeared days later on every scalpers site you can find, at 10 times what I was paying, I even bought 3 to see and "shockingly" they were part of my original manifest of assigned S/Ns.Welcome to /r/NVIDIA. It's even worse when a company takes your order and down payment, only to deliver a fraction of what was ordered, and in combinations that don't allow you to build a complete system, like sure you can get that order of the 200 new x570s, and all the extra 590 FTW's you want(guess no one wants them) and power supplies, but oh those 400 gpus you ordered to go with the mobos and psu's, yeah we can only do 10% of that part of your order. But in the long run, it's the companies that keep orders placed 24 months ago to companies like me that will be the ones I choose to do business with in the future. While yes I get it, there's a gpu shortage and to them it seems like a good idea for them to use this, shady at minimum business model, to make a bit more profit right now. Sadly they are actually making a lot of pc builders and stores turn away from the brand as a whole. They look at the reseller who is offering them about 20% over MSRP and selling for double or more than msrp. ![]() They know that that if they sell them to me, it's a predetermined price point for x amount of gpus. This seems like a good compromise of getting cards in new hands without completely changing the rules on the individuals who tried hard to get earlier queue times and grabbed a card to hold them over or for friends and family.Īre they? Hmm if you look at from a builders prospective it looks like they are looking to make the most profit from the resellers that will pay them above MSRP. The limit of two doesn't start until 10/11. If you do not narrow down your notifies they will use the two oldest you have in their system.įor those that are wondering which cards to keep, you should be reviewing community tracked sources to see which cards have been moving so that you don't stick yourself with a dead card.Īlso as a tip, if you are in need of more than two and have any close to popping I wouldn't narrow down to your final two until after Friday as any that go out this week do not count towards your limit of two. TLDR is that the queue system has changes and now you have to limit yourself down to just two cards starting by 10/11. For those of you who have not seen the news from EVGA the past couple days you should get caught up here here.
